

NIELIT (DOEACC):
National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT)
formerly known as DOEACC Society, is an autonomous scientific body
of department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communication
and Information Technology, Govt. of India. It provides educational
opportunities in Information Technology for 10+2 to Graduate and
even post Graduate students and provides requisite flexibility for
individuals to qualify in steps, to an equivalent of MCA or M.Tech.
NIELIT is implementing a joint scheme of All India Council for
Technical Education and Department of Information Technology (formerly
Department of Electronics (DOE)), Government of India. The objective
of the Scheme is to develop quality manpower in IT by utilizing
the expertise available with the computer training institutes who
are granted accreditation for conducting specified Levels of courses,
subject to their meeting well-defined norms and criteria. An IT
Literacy course namely, Course on Computer Concepts (CCC) is also
offered by the Society all over the country. The four level of courses
offered by NIELIT (DOEACC) are:

The scheme provides the requisite flexibility for individuals to
qualify in steps, to an equivalent of an M.Tech. in Computer Science
and Engineering without interfering with other studies of work.
The four levels of courses under this scheme are:

ELIGIBILITY:
Students can acquire any of these O/A/B/C level qualifications
only if they undergo a DOEACC course for the respective level from
the institutes accredited for conducting the said course and clear
the examinations conducted by the DOEACC Society. However, working
professionals can also appear in these examinations, directly, provided
they possess relevant working experience for the particular level.
EXAMINATIONS:
Examinations are conducted by DOEACC Society on an all India basis.
These are held six monthly in January and July every year.
CERTIFICATES AND DIPLOMAS:
Successful candidates are awarded appropriate certificates and
diplomas by the DOEACC Society. Various State Govt., Central Govt.
and Public Sector Undertakings have included these qualifications
for recruitment to posts at appropriate levels .
